In response to recent health and economic challenges, Broward County has created an online resource to help families access nutritious meals. The website, together4broward.org highlights dozens of locations countywide offering healthy meals, including the 49 District schools serving “grab and go” meals for children 18 and younger as well as food banks, churches and local government agencies offering a range of support services.
The Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) at Broward County Public Schools is a proud partner in Together 4 Broward, a coalition of local service organizations that have come together to ensure families have access to crucial services during the unprecedented health crisis and economic downturn.
If you, or someone you know, is having trouble feeding their family, please encourage them to visit together4broward.org to learn more about where they can get help and find locations near their home. For additional information, please visit the Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) at Browardschools.com/face or email us at face@browardschools.com.
The District is grateful to the coalition of partners supporting this collaborative and timely effort: Children’s Services Council of Broward County, Feeding South Florida, HOPE South Florida, Meals on Wheels South Florida, the United Way of Broward County, Area Agency on Aging, FHEED, LLC, FLIPANY, Food Rescue US, No Kid Hungry, South Florida Hunger Coalition, 211, the Health Foundation of Broward County, the Miami Dolphins, the Jim Moran Foundation, and Broward County.
