Please join Deputy Assistant to the President for Immigration, Betsy Lawrence, and Director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Ur Jaddou, for a briefing on the White House reconvening of the Task Force on New Americans TOMORROW, Tuesday, December 13th at 12pm.
Last year, President Biden issued an Executive Order to restore faith in our legal immigration systems and strengthen integration and inclusion efforts for New Americans. The Executive Order directed the White House Domestic Policy Council to reconvene the Task Force on New Americans to “coordinate the Federal Government’s efforts to welcome and support immigrants, including refugees, and to catalyze State and local integration and inclusion efforts.”
This Task Force will build on the work that was undertaken by a similar Task Force established in 2014 under the Obama-Biden Administration, which helped jumpstart integration efforts across the Federal Government and at the State and local levels.
Please join us TOMORROW to learn more about the objectives of the Task Force and how you can get involved.
This invitation is open to all stakeholders – please forward to other community leaders as you see fit.
If time permits, we will hold a brief Q&A period. If you have any questions you would like considered you may submit as a part of your RSVP.
