The Children’s Services Council of Broward County invites qualified vendors to submit Proposals for the Healthy Youth Transitions 2024 RFP. The Healthy Youth Transitions 2024 RFP is intended to provide innovative year-round, independent living programs using the Transition to Independence Process (TIP) Model® to address the developmental and transitional needs of dependent, delinquent, crossover, LGBTQ, and disconnected youth, with a special focus on youth in foster care and/or non-traditional living arrangements.

The Agency Financial Viability section is due 2/22/24 at 4:00 p.m.

This procurement will be available until March 12, 2024, through CSC’s web-based Contract Administration and Procurement System (CAPS), and all responses must be submitted through CAPS.

The intent of this Request for Qualifications is to obtain qualifications from licensed Insurance Brokers and/or Agents for the purpose of providing professional insurance brokerage and consulting services for Risk Management and/or Employee Benefits.

ALL responses must be submitted through CSC’s web-based Contract Administration and Procurement System (CAPS).

Applicants must submit a separate proposal for Risk Management or Employee Benefits. Interested parties can access the RFQ at http://www.cscbroward.org/.

This marked the sixth week of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session. Both chambers continued to move substantive legislation in what were the last committee meetings for multiple committees in both the House and the Senate.

On Tuesday, February 13thHB 1353 Early Learning by Representative John Snyder, (R-Palm City) was presented in the House Pre K-12 Appropriations Subcommittee. In the Senate Appropriations Committee on Health and Human Services, the committee took up SB 536 Community-based Child Welfare Agencies by Senator Ileana Garcia, (R-Miami) and SB 1442 Pregnancy Support Services by Senator Erin Grall, (R-Ft. Pierce) where both were passed favorably. In the House Health Care Appropriations SubcommitteeHB 499 Congenital Cytomegalovirus Screenings by Representative Lauren Melo, (R-Naples) and HB 1061 Community-based Child Welfare Agencies by Representative Fiona McFarland, (R-Sarasota) were taken up and passed out of committee.

Volunteers Needed for StoryFest! Reading Rodeo 2024

Volunteers are invited to participate in this fun, free community event celebrating early literacy.

Help us create a fantastic experience for local families! Earn service hours by volunteering at NSU Alvin Sherman Library’s StoryFest! 50-100 volunteers are needed to support in various areas (i.e., greeting and checking in attendees, book giveaways, costumed characters, crowd management, etc.).

Time of Event Volunteers Needed: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Shorter shifts from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm are also available)
