Theater instructor, Elizabeth Garrard, expressed that “having a theater venue on campus will give the students many more opportunities.” She continued to explain how the new theater allows for more performances without additional costs from venue rental. Additionally, Garrard mentioned, “Students will be able to explore opportunities in sound, lighting and scenic design as well as stagecraft. Students will also learn the daily operational needs of a theater including business, house and stage management, and publicity.”
