4 Children’s Books to Celebrate National Nonprofit Day Month

In the month of August, we celebrate U.S. National Nonprofit Day. We recognize the ongoing efforts non-profit organizations do in our local community, as well as their important role in it.

The Literacy League Program has selected four picture books that help children be aware of the significance of these charitable organizations. Volunteerism opens the doors for families in a community to spend quality time together while doing genuine good. It also encourages the next generation of compassionate and driven advocates to follow in their footsteps.
