On June 26, 1945 was signed in the city of San Francisco the Constitution of the United Nations, which had among its objectives the maintenance of peace and international security, to promote among nations respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples and to take appropriate measures to strengthen world peace among other goals.
